| Periodicals |
- The Library has a wide range of newspapers, magazines and academic journals in its Periodicals collection.
- The latest copy of a periodical can be used in the Library; earlier
copies of periodicals are held under the sloping periodical shelves and can be borrowed for one week.
- Older copies of periodicals are held behind the desk - ask Library staff to locate them for you.
- If you use a Periodical in the Library please leave it for library staff to reshelve.
- Search tips:
If you are looking for a Periodical on the library catalogue,
use a title search and type in the word "Periodical" as well as the name of the magazine or journal.
- Find an article in a particular periodical without browsing through the
whole stack. Wherever possible we have added a link from the library
catalogue to a database. Try it out on National Geographic magazine. Find
this magazine on the library catalogue, click on "View associated website"
then on the "Search within this publication" and enter your subject in the Term box.
